Calmwards provides wellbeing coaching and retreats that help you to pause. You'll have the headspace to think more deeply about your habits and how you can create the lifestyle you want (and need) to be your best.

“A few years ago, big areas in my life weren’t going the way I wanted them to. I felt stressed, anxious and didn’t know who to turn to. I knew there were things I could be doing to help myself feel better but at the time I wasn’t in the right mindset to take any action. I desperately needed some guided ‘time out’ to relax and to think about the bigger picture, but when I did some research there were very few opportunities to do this is in the UK. The first Calmwards retreats started because I wanted to create a relaxing, safe environment for people to pause, take a breath and think about their wellbeing."

The idea of Calmwards is to give you headspace from the daily grind to think about your wellbeing at a deeper level. 

Before you know it, weeks have gone by without you pausing for breath. You’re in your little routine, your bubble. Which is fine if it’s working for you, but it doesn’t give you much opportunity to think about the bigger picture if it’s not.

It takes discipline to review your own wellbeing and to ask yourself the key questions that you might have been avoiding. Completing our programmes, attending our events or working one-on-one with a coach will give you the support to do this.

Genevieve Allen

Gen is a wellbeing coach, facilitator, personal trainer and founder of Calmwards. She also works as an HR manager for a large UK retailer, with experience in learning and development and recruitment.

Gen has a long-held passion for wellbeing, particularly being active through sport, fitness and exercise. Her ideal start to the day is a workout or run to get the heart pumping!

Lis Allen

Lis has run her own coaching business since 2008.  She works with people of all ages (either one-to-one or in groups) who wish to develop greater self-awareness, confidence and clarity.  As well as studying psychology at university level, she's a former qualified nurse, smoking cessation coach and mother to four adult daughters (one of whom is Gen). 

Her life-long passions include walking, travel, playing and listening to music and sport. She's also performed some stand-up comedy which feeds into her life philosophy of having fun and 'giving it a go'.
